BLOG NEWSLETTER TERM 1.

WELCOME BACK TO ALL SENIOR STUDENTS AND FAMILIES. THIS IS A SHORT VERSION OF OUR NEWSLETTER, A PAPER VERSION WILL COME HOME WITH YOUR CHILD AT THE END OF WEEK ONE. LEARNING: RELIGIOUS ED, READING , WRITING AND MATHEMATICS IS TAUGHT EACH DAY.INQUIRY ED AND VISUAL ARTS WILL BE A FOCUS FOR TERM 1, AND A SPLASH OF SCIENCE IN THERE FOR GOOD MEASURE! KIWI SPORT / PE AND PA ARE IN THERE TOO. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY IS GREAT FOR PHYSICAL AND METAL HEALTH. I DO NOT SET FORMAL HOMEWORK, RATHER, STUDENTS TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR READING EACH EVENING, LEARN TIMES TABLES THAT ARE YET TO BE FULLY EMBEDDED FOR FAST RECALL, FINISH ANY WORK THAT IS NOT COMPLETED DURING OUR SCHOOL DAY. WE TRAVEL TO TE WAKA UNUA PHILLIPSTOWN EACH FRIDAY FOR TECHNOLOGY FROM 12:45 - returning TO SCHOOL AT 2:55. CAMP THIS YEAR IS AT HORORATA, WEEK 4 23-26TH FEBRUARY, GEAR LISTS & MEDICAL FORMS WILL BE SENT HOME WEEK TWO. I HAVE TWO SPOTS AVAILABLE FOR ANY PARENT WISHING TO JOIN US, CONTACT ME IF YOU ARE INTERESTED. IF POSSIBLE IT WOULD BE GREAT IF ALL STUDENTS ARE EQUIPPED WITH THEIR BOOKS FOR LEARNING ON OUR FIRST DAY WHICH IS FEBRUARY 2 AT 9AM. I HAVE AN OPEN DOOR ETHOS, PLEASE COME IN AND WATCH US IN ACTION.
