Beauty, Boys Day(hey Nadine!), Chefs photoshake!

This term is well underway and we have had some interesting times!
Sport has begun at Hagley, we have 2 Football Teams and 1 Netball Team.
Thank you so much  Belinda and Angela, I really appreciate your talents and  the time you give to the Netball Team.
Our congratulations to our X Country students, you sure show your skills.
To Jackson a big high five, and Melissa you are awesome! We are so proud of you both.

We are planning an EOTC experience for Room 6 in week 6, are there two parents who would have the time to come to "explore and photograph" our City with myself Mr C and the students?  Details coming soon.

Great to be back on the blogwaves!

Looking Back-Moving Forward

CHANGE

Dear Parents, Whanau, Caregivers and Students of Room6,

Welcome to Term 2. Our key concept this term is CHANGE

LEARNING AREAS

The three core curriculum (Religious Education, English and Mathematics) are taught each day and Health & Physical Education, The Arts , Learning Languages, Science, Social Sciences are either integrated or taught as individual units of learning.

LEARING JOURNALS NEW NEW

This term students will do the majority of their bookwork in this Journal. Each week they will bring the Journal home to share with you and we welcome your feedback. It is an opportunity for you to see your child's work and share their learning with them.

Homework
is reading, and any work not completed during class time. Extension for those students who I believe will benefit from an exciting programme in English or Mathematics for Term 2, this may change in future terms to meet the strengths and interests your child.

Education Outside the Classroom Sport at Hagley each Thursday afternoon games start at 1.30. Class Trips will be organised as we advance into the term, I will notify you of theses.

Uniform/Learning Tools. It is really important that all students at our school wear the correct uniform. Please encourage them to wear their uniform with pride. To learn students need to be work ready: stationery, a good night's sleep, plenty to eat and physical exercise are some of the key components to success at school.

I thank you for your continued support of your children and their education.

Please feel free to come in and see me and the students working at any time, your presence is always welcomed. If you need to discuss any issues of a more personal nature with regard to your children call the office and make an appointment to see me.

Naku noa (yours sincerely)

Judi Parker.
