Newsletter

  • Room 6 Newsletter Term 4.

Dear Parents/Caregivers and Students,

Welcome back! I would like to welcome Miss. Mareta Pelenato to our Room. Miss Pelenato is a first year student teacher; she will be in our Room for five weeks, learning her craft and assisting myself and the students as we learn for the last term of 2011.

I would like to thank all families for their support for the School Mission Fair, and say a BIG THANK YOU, to all of the Room 6 students. On the day of the Fair you have once again shown yourselves to be kind, considerate, giving and hard- working students. You should be very proud of yourselves. J

This is another busy one, in Week 4 we will be testing for end of year reporting, it is paramount that the students are at school during this week.

The three core areas of learning: Maths, Reading, Writing and of course Religious Education are taught every day. Health/PE The Arts(Dance and Drama) Science have specific slots of time during the week. Our key concept is CHANGE.

Education outside the classroom(EOTC) is always exciting and this term is no exception.

We have Technology ( Cooking/Wood/Sewing) a whole school visit to Tai Tapu School for their Annual Pet Day, Swim week. Preparation of the feast for the opening of the Mission Centre, and of course Kapahaka.

The Year 8s have their leavers' dinner at Dennys, and a Retreat day yet to be finalised.

I look forward to Term 4, there is much learning to be done, and lots of fun to be had.

Call in and see us in action; or contact me should you require a chat.

Regards

Judi
