Our Amazing Brain



     

This term our key concept is SYSTEMS, we are begining our inquiry with the nervous system, our amazing brains. Today for discovery Friday we made playdough models of our brains. So here are some photo's that we took of how  to make a brain with playdough.

          Room 6 Newsletter Term 4 2012
It’s the final countdown!
Dear Parents/Caregivers, Whanau and Students, welcome back. This is always a busy and exciting term for the Year 8s as they begin to prepare for their transition to Secondary School. We will work together to ensure the best possible outcomes for each individual student; academically, spiritually and socially, so they can be the best they can be. J
LEARNING AREAS:
 Key Concept : Systems
Core subjects- English-Mathematics-Religious Education are taught every day.
RE Strand -Communion of Saints, Advent and Christmas
Visual Art- Physical Education- Science-Learning Languages- ICT-Technology@Phillipstown. Drama
We have Athletics, Year 7/8 Trip, Retreat for the Year 8s, End of year Dinner, School & Parish Mass and the Graduation.  I will let you know the dates once these are finalised.
Please make sure your child is wearing the school uniform with pride and that they are equipped with stationery for learning.
As always you are most welcome in our room; if you have any issues you wish to discuss I am available every day before school(excluding Thurdays) or you can make an appointment to see me through the office.

Three Terms- together let's make Term 4 a "HIGH- FIVE"


Just a reminder of the teaching and learning for 2012, what an amazing group of students you are. The count down is on now for the Year 8s- together let's make this final term one to be proud of and remember, as you transition to your chosen Secondary Schools.
