A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BUSY EDITOR AND HER TEAM!

Nadine and her team are preparing the galleys for their magazine. I am really looking foward to reading "WINGS". Each student has contributed an article or two in their specialist field or area of interest.  Nadine asked for written applications from each student, she then selected each team, and has with Tatianas help, guided and led each team along the journey. FRIDAY 25 JULY

Today was a real celebration at our school. We celebrated the FEAST DAY of ST ANNE. Each FRIDAY For this term we are learning about science through literature. We discuss we write and most of all we wonder....what if?

Electronics for the YEAR 8S

This term we are learning about electronics. This is a very cool class and we get to put our new learning into practice to make some amazing games using our new understandings and skills.

THE YEAR 7S BEGIN FOOD TECHNOLOGY

EACH FRIDAY WE TRAVEL TO PHILLIPSTOWN TO TECHNOLOGY. WE HAD TO FOLLOW HEALTH AND SAFETY RULES AROUND PREPARING FOOD AND WE  MADE DELICIOUS TORTILLA WRAPS.

A thank you note from Mrs P

To our wonderful year 7 & 8 students. Thank you for being such cool,connected learners. Mr C and all of your teachers are so proud of your achievements.   Have a great 2 week break, remember to try some random acts of kindness.

News Flash!

We all had to write an application letter to our Editor,  Nadine. We will know on Monday which section of the magazine we will be working in...exciting!
Good luck everyone, and in your editors famous words, smile even if you don't get the job you desire. All of you will have a role to play.

Radio station

We are learning how to assemble our very own radio station. Mr C will be back Monday to organise having our aerial installed and then fingers crossed we should be able to give out our frequency.....let the fun begin

We are going to develop our school radio station which we hope will go live on the air  in time for the start of Term 3.

Flash Trash - Making something new from Rubbish!

We are nearly there.
This week we get to finish our creations.  We have been learning the set of skills required to be a self manager.  At the creating stage of our work, we wrote what we thought this key competency would look like as we began the challenge to create our wearable arts. Mrs P is happy to report that using student "voice" when teaching a key competency, has more impact and student buy in.

Thursday the 15th May- It was a busy one!

On Thursday we went to the Production at Cathedral College. It was an amazing performance by their students. We were able to meet the cast after the show. We also had the chance to catch up with past pupils who were in the band.
Jordan caught up with his cousin an ex pupil of St.Anne's.


On Thursday evening our Pasifika students performed at the Launch of the Talanoa Project.  Thanks to our families for supporting us.
