Sharing our learning
Christian and Aldwin took the pulley to writing with Mrs Doherty, it will be wonderful to read what they have written. Our next steps will be to work with our buddy, using a scaffold to write our explanations.
Then Mrs.P will pull away the scaffolds and we will fly solo. Watch this blog for our writing:-)
Roaming for knowledge and inspiration
It was awesome to roam the class looking and working at the machines. When we write we need to have prior knowledge and personal experience
It makes our writing exciting.
READING AND WRITING
We are learning how to write exciting explanations. Today we learnt alot about simple machines and HOW they work. There was alot of new information and TECHNICAL LANGUAGE. We used our ipad app suri to help us clear the roadblocks and make meaning of the new words in our texts. It is great to share our thinking as a class.
Maths at the jellybean.....
It is very cool to show our thinking on the jellybean and share our thinking and strategies. In ROOM 6 we like to take shared responsibilty for our learning.

One week to go team!
Dear students and parents, just a little heads up for teaching and learning in Room 6. From this plan students will be able to select a learning area of interest to engage in a personal inquiry of their choice. It is our intent to invite you in near the end of term to share our learning with you.
